Penned down by author Krusha Sahajwani Malkani in 49 pages is a story of a typical Indian, middle class housewive who’s entire world revolves around her kids & husband & in-laws.

Weaved by the author who is herself in her late 20’s, it’s the story of Anju, a mother of 2 girls, a housewife, living in Mumbai, belongs to a middle class home.

Other than her husband & 2 girls, she lives with her father & mother in law too, like in most middle class Indian homes.

And other than her own life, everyone else is the focus in her life.

She wakes up the earliest in the house..cooks food acc. to the taste buds of rest of the family members..takes care of needs of all of them..& keeps on burning herself, running like a machine, every day until…

One day.. something happens in her life..which makes her realise how she has lost herself in running errands & trying to keep her family happy.

Her freedom of choice..her financial independence..her self dependence..etc etc

The only relief she gets & a moment she enjoys, in a day, is WITH HER STEAMING CUP OF TEA where she ponders on various aspects of her life..

The story also talks about Mental illness or depression..the importance of financial independence.. astrology..our faith on it..our dependence on our mothers for everything irrespective of our age..& other small but important aspects of a woman’s life.

The author says, women: you hold your houses together & that holds the nation together.

This story is inspired by the women around her.

The story is relatable at one or the other instance.

Although written in a very simple format, it hits the bull’s eye perfectly.

Message: YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. DON’T EVER LET ANYONE MAKE YOU FEEL OTHERWISE.

A perfect read for reminiscing on self-worth.
A wonderful gift for someone you love, the women in your life.

Let’s begin with the story..

The word “Slut” is a derogatory term used for women..
“Chronicles” means a factual written account of important events in order of occurrence.

This story revolves around a girl named, Ishana Khatri- one of the biggest super-models of India, her friends- Shiva & Sarv, her father & brother Rakshit, Dev, Kunal (from school time), a Journalist Ravi and Pratham.

She had such dark secrets that no innocent soul could fathom.

She had been keeping her secrets buried within, but because of some unknown reasons, recently, she had opened up to a stranger, a journalist named Ravi.

And…the whole story..the dark past of Ishana is revealed in this storytelling..

If words could kill, Only the “Prologue” was able enough to do that!!
It’s fantastically written, perfect thriller material, to keep you gasping for the next chapter!

 It’s a great read, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
 It brought back memories of my School days..
 I loved her style of writing & sense of timing.
Even though an adventure series, it takes on various topics.. slightly touches them..like..how a sibling considers herself a dark horse, an ugly ducking..or..the effects of childhood insecurities on the psychology..years after even when he is an adult.. childhood friendships..& more.
 It’s a must read for a fan of mystery adventure books!

P.S. We can read this book w/out reading the 1st part & can understand & enjoy it as a standalone too.
