I LOOVED it, it’s heartrending & a beautiful tale of relationships..of parents..of parenting..abt life..abt mistakes..& lessons.

What we forget is, they are human too.. Individuals too.. and were young & immature like us few yrs back..or are still figuring things out..be it relationships or parenting..

This book, came out in Aug. 2020 & is 378 pgs long. It is divided into 3 parts with total 28 chapters.

Part 1 deals with LARA AROHA GRAYSON, a teenager & her, questioning her mother, GEORGIA, a neurosurgeon, about her biological father, DANNY who died months before Lara was born.
Georgia is unable to put together some dots as she figures out the gaps in her memory.. which further gives her anxiety attacks.

Part 2 talks abt how Lara tricks her mom into taking her along, to New Orleans, where she tries to unfold the dust from the ties with her paternal family.. Hurricane Katrina makes an entry too in this section.

Part 3 reveals a secret, the family suspense, abt DANNY and much much more.. whr ppl blame themselves for what could have been instead of what actually did happen.. Relationships, they are so complex..the result of our actions, our choices, our decisions is seldom in our hands.. And eventually Lara gets clarity, with Georgia, shocked & surprised with the truths that were never told..& hidden.

The last part, made me so emotional & is a tear jerker where finally Georgia let’s go of her guilt & Danny, her past & resolves to move forward & live in the present.

Beautifully weaved, it caters to; work-fam. ⚖️balance,
anxiety disorder,
family drama,
mother- teenager relationship,
family secrets,
the power of family & relations…amongst other things..

The title, The Moon Is Missing, comes through fully after we have experienced this beautiful journey..

Why do you think, a writer/ author would mask under a pen name❓ Why wouldn’t he want to share his name &/or identity❓ Why would he not want to receive applause for his work & relish it publically❓

This is not the 1st book/ work by the author.
The pen name, themarsbeing, gives a vague idea of the ideology of the author..he considers himself different from the crowd & rightly so.
The display picture, superman is also unique.

 The book, Another Story, is a total chaos‼️

It feels like entering the mind of the author..I had to dnf the book for a few days..to absorb it & let it stay & linger..

It’s totally raw, heavy on the mind esp. if you are a sensitive person.

It’s brilliantly written, shows the depth of the author’s thought, his knowledge bank & his creativity.
It does have certain cursing words & use of foul lang. It deals with various aspects of the author’s life, his thoughts & feelings during those timelines..heartbreak..loss.. depression..drugs..being a fighter.. collaboration with other poets..his thoughts on current happenings around the world & much much more.

For me, the author has great potential & does not need any kind of recognition or publicity to make his work look worthy!

It is unique & one of a kind. Not everyone’s cup of tea though.

I deliberately used the filter & such backdrop for this post, to show the melancholy & the vibe of the book.

The cover itself is pretty interesting, as if a zillion thoughts are going around in the book/ poets mind.

It talks about #christinavictoriagrimmie #bonnieandclyde and a lot more.

I had to do research & goggle a lot to exactly decipher the author’s work.

He has an immense knowledge bank too.

1st book in the series, it has everything one could possibly ask for!

It has MAPS! The struggle, emotions & bonding depicted is so real & relatable and it has the right dose of fantasy to make it mystical‼️

Trebors are small, furry creatures with paws who live inside a huge tree.The story is of 12 yrs old STELLA, her best friend STU, younger brother EBERT, her parents YAMA & YAPA & abt MT. BOR and the whole Trebor community, as a whole.
A storm causes havoc in the entire vicinity, shaking up the tree & it’s inhabitants. Somehow they survive the ordeal but everything is destroyed.
YAPA alongwith other fathers had gone to the forest for securing supplies but never returned..
Stella alongwith Stu with Ebert in the footsteps venture out to locate her father.
What follows is a series of adventures full of danger & magic.

“The tree will hold. Remember, our tribe has lived here for hundreds of years. Its roots are strong and most of our homes are built within the trunk, where it is the strongest… it will hold,” Yama replied.- an excerpt.

Is Stella able to find her father❓Will they return safely home❓Even if they do, how will they restart their lives from the scratch❓

This book, came around in June 2020.

It lays down some really worthy ideas for achieving internal & external happiness, as a whole. We cannot exist as a single entity, but in tandem with our surroundings; be it fellow humans, animals or nature.
So we cannot wish & have our own selfish happiness unless & until we keep the bigger picture in focus.

The best part of this read, for me was, THE INTRODUCTION. Yes you read it right!
Here the author, who is due to celebrate her 50th Marriage Anniversary soon, talks about her journey of becoming a Happiness Preacher.
Right from childhood, when she always fought for social justice till now, how the universe conspired to lead her to realise her happiness calling. It reiterates the fact that we may not understand God’s plan, how the scheme of things work but it eventually brings us to our destiny or destination.

IT FELT LIKE READING A MINI QUICK MEMOIR & all my buddies know, I am all ears for such experiences‼️

Also, Ginny talks about GROSS NATIONAL HAPPINESS & Bhutan. I had read a travelogue on Bhutan, Married To Bhutan by @lindaleaming last month where i had my 1st interface with such a concept & I could so relate into it now.

Turns out, we all crave HaPPINESS but do we really know how to secure it❓
This book can sure help you with that‼️

In addition to beautiful quotations, research, sermons..the USP of this book is the PERSONALISED eXpEriEnCe, the tit- bits that the author talks about from her own life, which make the whole reading rendezvous so easily absorbing & enriching‼️

It sure talks about forgiveness, reading & writing, mindfulness, gratitude, conflict resolution, caring for our planet & fellow beings, empathy & love & has a detailed list of references at the end, just like in a thesis.
